Construction Road Safety Audit

The North-East Link project posed unique challenges due to the complexity and dynamic nature of its construction zones. Traditional road safety audits were conducted to identify potential hazards; however, they had inherent limitations due to the brief time spent on-site. To address this, Real Time Traffic’s NearMiss technology was deployed as a supplementary tool, providing continuous,real-time video analysis.

NearMiss captured detailed data, including vehicle speeds, lane positioning, and near-miss events, over an extended period. This allowed for a comprehensive evaluation of traffic patterns and identified risks that were missed during initial audits. The integration of real-time insights ensured that proactive measures could be implemented, enhancing the safety strategies and reducing the likelihood of accidents in these high-risk areas.

By bridging the gap between traditional safety audits and continuous observation,NearMiss added an essential layer of accuracy to road safety assessments,supporting more effective and timely interventions during the North-East Link project.
